INTERPRETER TRAINING
Cross Cultural Interpreting Services (CCIS) of Heartland Alliance has an outstanding reputation for interpreting training! Since its establishment in 1996, CCIS has trained over 1,000 professionals in the intricacies of interpreting—and a high proportion of these trainees have gone on to enjoy successful careers as medical interpreters. Our classes help you to develop the skills necessary to provide professional interpreting services in various settings.
CCIS has recently partnered with ALTA to offer our candidates a convenient online training program. The online, 40-hour program is accredited by the IMIA (International Medical Interpreters Association). We are excited about this new offering and instructions on how to register, as well as course information, is provided below.

REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE INTERPRETER TRAINING
Registration fees include cost of tuition, proficiency tests in both English and your Target Language, and a digital textbook.
$690 Registration Fee
· 2 Proficiency Tests, Course Tuition, and Digital Textbook
· 40-hour online course (must be completed within 16 weeks)
Once you register and complete payment, you will receive instructions within 3-5 business days for completing your proficiency exam. You must score at Advanced High to continue with the course.
Check our list of available languages prior to registering to ensure the course is available in your language. We currently have 42 languages available.
If you PASS- you will receive credentials to login to the online training portal via email.
If you do NOT PASS- we will refund you $590 and only charge for your proficiency tests.
Refunds will not be issued after registration/payment unless you do not pass your proficiency exam (partial refund).
