CCIS, a program of Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights, was established in 1996 to improve access to services for the Limited-English-Proficiency (LEP) client. CCIS was the first program of its kind in Illinois to recruit, assess language skills, and train in the medical interpreting field. We have earned a well respected reputation throughout Metropolitan Chicago for providing outstanding health care interpreting and document translation services.  

When you work with CCIS, you become a partner with Heartland Alliance--a service-based human rights organization focused on investments and solutions for the most vulnerable men, women, and children in our society.   Proceeds from foreign language interpreting, document translation, and interpreter training services help provide health care for those in need.
